I have to admit: I never liked sunflowers. Yes, in a field in France, I do love how that looks. But in my little garden? No. And in my home? Absolutely not. I always thought they were just too big to be treated as regular flowers.
But these were a gift. So I put them in my largest vase.
And now they’re growing on me. I’m starting to like them. I could even say I’m starting to love them. They bring a bit of sunshine in, while outside it’s still cloudy…

They almost don’t look real! My little girl loves sunflowers and we are working on planting some dwarf sunflowers to keep in the house (Houston is much too hot).

I love sunflowers – we grow them every year but we do leave them in the garden for the birds – I’ve never brought them inside either…

I understand, I’ve never liked them much either. These do look nice though.

what a happy boquet!
isn’t it funny how a gift from a friend can so quickly change our tastes?
