This was one of those “what was I thinking”-projects…
I love the color and although the yarn is synthetic, it’s not too scratchy. I also loved he process of knitting it. The basics of this are very easy and the texture makes it a lot of fun to work on.
But… I tried it on just now and I wasn’t happy with what I saw in the mirror or on the pictures I tried to take. I looked like a (not so) little old lady wearing it!
I don’t know what is wrong. Maybe it’s too small. But I’m all out of that blue (and I hope the fact that one of the skeins is a slightly different kind of blue is not too obvious). Or maybe it’s just me. I also have two poncho’s I never wear. When I’m cold I put on a cardigan, or I pull up a blanket.
Oh well, it was fun to knit.

I think it’s beautiful!! I’ve been meaning to whip up a shawl for myself in preparation for the cooler months ahead (we dont have cold ones, just cool haha) for me to wear to church but I’m not that brave. The blue is really pretty too. Maybe you just need to get past your “only lil old ladies wear shawls” and embrace the fact that shawls are hip now. I promise.
